Every Studio Original begins with a thoughtful selection of pearls, materials and details. We work in small batches, allowing each piece to develop naturally rather than forcing every pearl to look exactly the same.

The result is jewelry that feels considered, individual and ready to become part of your everyday life.

STEP 01 Selecting the Pearls

We begin by looking closely at each pearl—its shape, lustre, colour and natural surface character.

Rather than searching for absolute uniformity, we select pearls that feel harmonious together while preserving the individual beauty that makes each one unique.

STEP 02 Finding the Balance

Next, we explore proportion, spacing, movement and the relationship between pearls and their supporting materials.

Some designs come together quietly and intuitively. Others are adjusted several times until the composition feels balanced, wearable and distinctly NY STUDIO7.

STEP 03 Assembled with Intention

Once the design is established, the piece is carefully assembled or hand-knotted in our studio.

We work slowly through the details—checking spacing, tension, movement and the way the piece rests when worn.

STEP 04 Finished and Inspected

Before a Studio Original is ready to leave us, we inspect its construction, finish and overall balance.

We make final adjustments where needed, then prepare the piece for the person who will make it her own.
