THE STORY BEHIND THE STUDIO

I was born in China, raised in Malaysia and now call Long Island home, with journeys through more than thirty countries in between.

Everywhere I went, I found myself drawn to women—the way they carry their families, histories and ambitions with a strength so ordinary that it often goes unnoticed, and so extraordinary that it can take your breath away.

Those women, and the many versions of womanhood I have experienced myself, became the heart of NY STUDIO7.

This studio is for women in every season of becoming: the woman building a career, raising a family, beginning again, celebrating quietly or simply choosing something beautiful for herself.

WHY PEARLS

Beautiful because they are individual.

Pearls have always felt deeply human to us.

They are luminous without being loud, timeless without feeling fixed and elegant without asking a woman to become someone else.

Each cultured pearl carries natural variations in shape, colour, lustre and surface. We do not see those differences as imperfections to erase. We see them as character—quiet evidence that beauty does not need to be identical to be extraordinary.
